Elon Musk’s Horrible Elden Ring Load Out Makes Critics Question His Diablo 4 Record

Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO and now a self-proclaimed top-tier gamer is making headlines once again. Musk recently achieved the top spot in Diablo 4 rankings after clearing a Level 150 Artificer’s Pit with a record-breaking time of 1:52. But is this achievement really his own?

The billionaire’s new achievement has gotten gamers questioning if he’s the one who really did it. Fans have pointed out his questionable history with games like Elden Ring where his build was revealed to be not quite the best. So now the question among the community arises, did he really get this record himself?

Musk’s supposed feat in Diablo 4 is impressive on paper. The game’s hardest challenge, level 150 of the Artificer’s Pit, is considered the ultimate test of skill. Musk’s record-breaking run surpassed the previous leader by seven seconds. This has immediately led to skepticism from the community.

One X (formerly Twitter) user immediately noted, “Anyone who’s seen his Elden Ring loadout knows he didn’t do that.” Musk’s gaming reputation took a hit earlier this year when his Elden Ring build was revealed online.

Dubbed the “CEO build,” it featured a chaotic mix of weapons and shields that rendered Musk’s character comically slow and ineffective. At level 111, his character was still “fat rolling” due to an overloaded equip load.

While Musk joked about receiving a “salesperson of the month award” from Blizzard, critics were less amused. One user questioned the feasibility of balancing a busy life managing Tesla, SpaceX, and X while setting records in a game like Diablo 4.

The gaming community has not been shy about speculating whether Musk pays professional gamers to play on his behalf. “He’s probably paying someone to play for him,” one Twitter user remarked, echoing a common theory.

Real Or Not, His Gaming Habits Are a Highlight

Some people do argue that gaming skills don’t necessarily correlate across titles, and his poor Elden Ring performance doesn’t disprove his Diablo 4 dominance.

On a recent podcast, Musk revealed his identity on Diablo 4’s leaderboards, surprising fans by ranking in the top 20 globally even before his record-breaking run.

He also framed gaming as a way to unwind and sharpen his mind. His openness about his hobby humanizes him to fans, breaking the stereotype of CEOs as purely work-focused.

Whether his new record is legit or not, Elon Musk’s image online is definitely under scrutiny. His achievement has undeniably shone a spotlight on the blurred lines between passion and privilege in competitive gaming.

But the question remains: is Musk a god-tier gamer or just another player using resources to tip the scales? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments!
