Snoop Dogg’s Missionary album is on the horizon, and the Doggfather alongside Dr. Dre dropped off the second single from the LP on Thursday (Nov. 21) with “Outta Da Blue.”

Snoop and Dre turn back the clock to trade bars over the clinky production. “This for all of my n—s pushing the limit/ My high, got me over here bending the flight attendants,” Snoop raps after pulling another drag.
Dre boasts about how his bank account has reached the point there’s no price tag that will make him flinch at this point. “Ain’t seen a mutherf—-g thing that I can’t buy/ See, reaching these types of heights, it come with a third eye,” he brags.
Alus joins the party as the singer shrewdly calls back to M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” classic on the chorus.
“Outta Da Blue” is a welcomed addition to the hype train for Missionary heading into the Dec. 13 arrival of the Dr. Dre-produced album.
The West Coast titans kicked off the project’s rollout with the smooth “Gorgeous” featuring Jhené Aiko, which served as the “Still D.R.E.” collaborators’ return to the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay for the first time in 13 years when the single debuted at No. 29 earlier in November.
Prior to the album’s release, Snoop and Dre gave fans a taste of the project during a live episode of Drink Champs at ComplexCon over the weekend. Fans, friends and peers appeared to love what they heard, as LeBron James, Travis Kelce and more gave Snoop Dogg his flowers in his IG comment section.
Missionary is the first time Snoop and Dre have connected for a full-length project since the Long Beach legend’s 1993 Doggystyle debut album. The hitmakers haven’t revealed much regarding the LP, but some special guests are expected to make appearances, including Sting and Jelly Roll.
