Due to a recently announced delay, Oshi no Ko will release season 2, episode #13, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 4:00 AM PDT (7:00 AM EDT) on HIDIVE, as confirmed by the Oshi no Ko Global X (formerly Twitter) account. For fans in the UK, the episode will be released at 12:00 PM GMT. This means viewers in Japan will see the episode broadcast at primetime hours on Japanese television before the series hits streaming for its season finale.
Additionally, the second season of Oshi no Ko releases the English dub for its episodes every Friday weekly, with season 2, episode #4 coming on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM EDT (10:00 AM PDT). For fans in the UK, the episode will be released at 6:00 PM GMT.

Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire
As B-Komachi goes to Takachiho, Miyazaki with Aqua and Akane in tow, Aqua goes on a personal mission to find out what happened to the home from his previous life and whether his death was investigated. In Oshi no Ko season 2 episode #12, Aqua finds himself accompanied by Akane as he searches for clues, with Akane not fully understanding what he’s looking for, at least not yet. Additionally, Aqua learns of the risks he’s been taking by going out with Kana, an emerging idol, whose life would be similarly scandalized if word got out to the wrong person.
At the B-Komachi shoot, things go well for the group, with their new song likely to be a future hit and the photoshoot showcasing the idols’ cutest qualities. It’s a bonding opportunity for Ruby as well, getting to spend substantial time with Akane and regard her as a big sister, while MEM and Kana also put in their respective work on the scene. But the focus quickly shifts to Ruby and her backstory as she tells Akane, vaguely, about Gorou from her past life, how she loved him, and how she wishes to find and tell him her feelings.
The result is far more grim, though, with Ruby’s discovery of what happened to Gorou being an eye-opener. Oshi no Ko season 2, episode #12 is a sad glimpse at Aqua and Ruby’s past selves, Gorou and Sarina, tragically taken by murder and cancer, respectively. What’s perhaps more tragic is that both characters died alone, without a mother to comfort them in life or their last moments, reincarnated into two soulless children born to their favorite idol, Ai Hoshino. This is where the Crow Girl lays out the first clues in Oshi no Ko but with no solution in sight.

The Mainstay Arc Begins
In light of Ruby’s recent discovery, the young idol will show a significant mood shift as she realizes she has lost not only Ai but Gorou, whom she loved, to tragedy in Takachiho. While this will translate to an empowered performance and star aura in Oshi no Ko season 2, episode #13, there’s a darkness and decay at the heart of it, as she will soon begin to speak with the enigmatic Crow Girl. Aqua will also decide whether to date Akane, with Kana standing to benefit the most should he break things off.
In the release of Oshi no Ko season 2, episode #13, the finale episode will bring the plot toward a time skip as the characters prepare to let their careers soar. Aqua will pick up more work as a multi-talented performer, and B-Komachi will amass greater popularity and more, but Ruby’s desire for revenge will soon rival Aqua’s. Even though the finale for Oshi no Ko season 2 is nigh, there’s plenty more ground as the anime adapts chapter #78 and beyond.
