This has been another disastrous season for the New York Jets, and they have thus dug themselves a hole that they will not be able to get out of for quite some time.

With a 3-8 record, they have virtually no chance of making the playoffs, and there are now rumors that Aaron Rodgers may not remain with them past this season.

It’s hard to believe another team would be willing to take the fast-declining Rodgers off the Jets’ hands, but that is the hope some are holding on to.

Former Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn recently named one team that might want to take a chance on the soon-to-be 41-year-old.

“I don’t know who that would be, unless you are, let’s say, the Minnesota Vikings and something happens to Sam Darnold down the stretch,” Kuhn said, via Zach Gelb.

The Vikings have surprised everyone with their 8-2 record, and at just one game behind the Detroit Lions, they may have a real shot at finishing first in the NFC North.

Darnold, who had been dismissed as a bust, got off to a hot start, but he’s on a one-year contract, and there’s no guarantee the Vikings will bring him back beyond this season.

J.J. McCarthy, who was drafted in April to be their potential franchise quarterback, suffered a season-ending knee injury prior to Week 1, and his status for next season is in question after undergoing two knee procedures.

The Jets just fired general manager Joe Douglas, and whoever permanently replaces him may have no use for Rodgers, who is a shell of his former self and seems to be dictating decisions throughout the organization, at least according to critics.
