A Valentine’s Day dinner in a gondola of the resort’s Crémaillère Express Luchon Superbagnères (Haute-Garonne). This is the original evening proposed by Haute-Garonne Montagne which will convert the 58 cabins of this new equipment inaugurated on December 22, making it possible to transport up to 2,000 people per hour between the town of Bagnères-de-Luchon and the plateau of Superbagnères, in 8 minutes.
For one evening, the cabins of the Crémaillère Express will be transformed into a restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees. “The ascent will run in slow motion, with cabins at a speed of 2 m per second, which will allow guests 22 minutes per dish, the time for the ascent or descent,” explains Baptiste Rabasse, director of the resort. by Luchon Superbagnères. Once the cabin is at the station, the waiters will have 3.30 minutes to intervene, clear and serve the dishes. Dinner should start around 7:30 p.m. and end around 11 p.m.
If the cabins usually accommodate ten people seated, this special evening limits guests to four per cabin. Reservations are almost complete and the profiles of people are not just couples since some have planned to come with children or with friends to live this unusual experience. In total, nearly 140 people are expected to taste the gastronomic menu offered by Maison Picabéa at a price of 100 euros.
La Crémaillère Express required an investment of 26 million euros, co-financed by the Department of Haute-Garonne, the State and the Occitanie region.
