It’s the league title chase that’s more like a slow bicycle race, where teams – with one exception, the St Patrick’s Athletic side managed by Stephen Kenny – are falling over the line rather than charging over it with menace and a swagger.
The 2024 Premier Division season is – for the neutral at least – a welcome change from the last few campaigns when the run-in was preordained.
