Knowing the latest Ditto Disguises is a must for any Pokémon GO Trainers who are yet to add the purple blob to their Pokédex. Unlike other Pocket Monsters that spawn in-game, the Transform Pokémon won’t appear on the map in its regular form. Ditto instead appears as one of GO’s other creatures on a rotating list.
Like Trainers learning how to get Zorua in Pokémon GO, you’ll only 100% know you will have caught a Ditto after it has been captured. This capture method has been around in mobile game ever since it launched. It’s not one of the hardest Pokémon to catch in Pokémon GO, but because the disguises change several times a year, and you don’t know which Pokémon are Ditto, it can still be a challenging hunt if you’re only playing casually.
All Ditto Disguises In Pokémon Go (October 2024)
11 Specific Pokémon
For October 2024, the current Ditto disguises in Pokémon GO are the following 11 multi-gen Pokémon: Bermite, Bidoof, Goldeen, Gothita, Koffing, Numel, Oddish, Rhyhorn, Solosis, Spinarak, and Stufful, as shown in the image above. The selection is the same as the Ditto disguises from August, with the current rotation not changing. If you encounter one of these Pokémon on the map, there is a chance they will revert to the elusive blob after capturing it.
There is one that can signify if you might have encountered a Ditto making itself look like a Koffing or a Numel, which is comparing its CP with its disguise. For instance, Dittos have a naturally low CP, going as high as around 931 CP for a Trainer at Level 40. Koffing’s CP, however, can go as high as 1214 for players at that level. By encountering one of the disguises Pokémon with lower CP, there’s a higher chance it will be a Ditto.

How To Increase The Chances Of Finding Ditto
Incense & Lures
While there’s no way to increase Ditto’s chance of spawning, specifically in Pokémon GO, Incenses can be used to increase spawns of Pokémon altogether, and one can be found through trial and error. Incenses cost 40 PokeCoins, but if you don’t have enough, players can use a Daily Adventure Incense to use its effect for 15 minutes.
Wandering Trainers who want to increase spawns for extra chances at a Ditto can use Lures in Pokémon GO as well. Each Lure increases in-game spawns for the immediate area for 30 minutes. Even without using these items, just stay aware of the current Ditto disguises like Numel, Bidoof, Goldeen, and Spinarak, and you can then catch one in Pokémon GO for yourself.
