All Marvel Movies Releasing In 2025

All Marvel Movies Releasing In 2025

After delays from previously announced slates, there are a number of promising Marvel movies releasing in 2025. Marvel Studios kicked off Phase 5 of the MCU in 2023, and a little more than two years later, the MCU timeline will proceed into Phase 6. With the end of the Multiverse Saga approaching, it’s hoped that the Marvel movies coming out in 2025 will be more integral to the overarching story, and/or continue other plot lines established in Phases 4 & 5.

In addition to the MCU movies releasing in 2025, Sony may have a Spider-Man movie hitting theaters. Both studios have at least one film that was pushed from 2024 as a result of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which were resolved in late 2023. Thanks to both Marvel and Sony, there will be plenty of exciting superhero movies for audiences to enjoy – as well as TV shows that will feature some beloved comic book characters. So, here are all the Marvel movies that are releasing in 2025.

Captain America: Brave New World – February 14, 2025

Sam Wilson’s Cinematic Debut As Captain America Welcomes Harrison Ford To The MCU

Captain America: Brave New World is the fourth Captain America movie as part of the MCU, but the first led by Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. Mackie’s character previously debuted in the second Cap movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and went on to become good friends with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Sam was given the shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame, and properly took on the mantle by the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV show. When Captain America: Brave New World releases on Friday, February 14, 2025, it will be Sam Wilson’s first solo movie in the MCU.

Captain America: Brave New World cast includes some returning Marvel characters – one played by a new actor. Following the passing of William Hurt in 2022, Harrison Ford takes on the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will be President of the U.S. in Brave New World. Based on the official teaser trailer, Ross will turn into Red Hulk at some point in the film. The teaser doesn’t give too many story beats away, but the film looks to carry much of the same tone as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Captain America: Civil War.

In addition to Mackie and Ford, the movie stars Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres, who takes up the mantle of Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, aka the Leader, a villain from the comics. Actress Shira Haas joins the MCU, reportedly as the Israeli hero Sabra.

Thunderbolts* – May 2, 2025

Marvel Assembles A Team Of MCU Antiheroes On The Big Screen

Marvel’s Thunderbolts* movie is the first of two team-focused MCU films to release in 2025. It assembles characters from past MCU movies who haven’t always been on the right side of history, gathering them together to operate in a team under the direction of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). When filming on the movie began, it was confirmed the title is Thunderbolts*, and Marvel chief Kevin Feige refused to explain the meaning of the asterisk. Thunderbolts* releases on Friday, May 2, 2025, taking the MCU’s typical early May release spot.

The Thunderbolts team in Marvel’s 2025 movie will be led by Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier, played by Sebastian Stan. The other confirmed members of the Thunderbolts* movie cast include Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova aka Black Widow, Wyatt Russell as John Walker aka U.S. Agent, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr aka Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov aka Taskmaster.

Thunderbolts* got its first official teaser trailer, showing the various members of the team being brought together under suspicious circumstances. It also gave the first look at Lewis Pullman as Bob, who seems likely to be Sentry, a brand-new superpowered character in the MCU. So far, it looks like Thunderbolts* will be closely tied to what happened in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Black Widow.

The Fantastic Four – July 25, 2025

Marvel’s First Family Joins The MCU

After Disney acquired a number of Fox film and TV assets in 2019, Marvel Studios announced The Fantastic Four movie, which is set to follow one of Marvel’s most well-known teams of superheroes. The Fantastic Four: First Steps releases on Friday, July 25, 2025, two weeks after James Gunn’s Superman hits theaters. Official artwork for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has hinted at a period setting in the 1960s. Since the heroes haven’t previously been mentioned in any MCU projects, it’s been theorized The Fantastic Four will be set in another universe in the MCU multiverse.

What is known is the main cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Additionally, Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal aka Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson will play the planet-devouring Marvel villain Galactus. Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Now that Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, it is possible that he might also appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps prior to those films. With Galactus and Silver Surfer both in the film, though, it might feel crowded with Doctor Doom around, especially with the anticipated return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU.

Blade – November 7, 2025

Mahershala Ali Was Cast As Marvel’s Daywalker In 2019

Marvel’s Blade movie has hit a few snags throughout the course of its development, including some behind the scenes changes to the creative team, which have led to the movie being delayed from its original 2023 date. Currently, Blade is set to be released on Friday, November 7, 2025, with Mahershala Ali playing the titular vampire-hunting Daywalker. Ali’s voice has already appeared in the MCU, with the actor having an uncredited cameo in the Eternals post-credits scene, talking to Dane Whitman about the Ebony Blade, a powerful and magical weapon in the comics.

Blade is one of the biggest question marks for the MCU at the moment. The film has gone through an extremely turbulent production, losing multiple directors tied to the project as well as writers. A number of actors are no longer attached, and the inclusion of Wesley Snipe’s Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine was met with fans wanting to see him step into the role again. Though it is still scheduled for 2025, it seems highly unlikely that Blade will be ready in time.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse – TBD

The Miles Morales Trilogy Capper Was Delayed From Its Original Date

The conclusion to Sony’s animated Miles Morales trilogy, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, was originally scheduled to release on March 29, 2024. However, the movie was taken off Sony’s release slate in 2023 and a new date hasn’t been announced yet. It’s likely Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will receive a release date in 2025. However, no release date is confirmed at this time, and it is possible that it could be delayed into 2026 given the lack of updates around its production.

Following the cliffhanger ending of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Beyond the Spider-Verse is expected to continue the story of Miles Morales, who has been captured by another version of himself, one that became the Prowler. Although Miles’s friend Gwen Stacy has assembled a team of his friends and allies to help her rescue him, he’s also being pursued by Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099. Other returning characters expected to appear in Beyond the Spider-Verse include Peter B. Parker, Spider-Punk, Spider-Man India, Spider-Man Noir and Jess Drew’s Spider-Woman.

MCU TV Shows Releasing In 2025

The Television Side Of The MCU Continues On Disney+

Since MCU Phase 4, Marvel Studios has been including TV shows as part of their shared cinematic universe, to differing levels of success. In 2023, it was reported that Marvel was changing the way they produced their television shows, and Disney CEO Bob Iger made a point to say on multiple occasions that Marvel would be slowing down how often they released new shows and movies. Both these changes came after criticisms of rushed TV productions and too many releases in a year.

In 2025, Marvel is set to release at least two live-action MCU TV shows, which will follow characters previously introduced to the franchise. Marvel Animation may also release new seasons of established shows like What If…? season 3 or X-Men ’97 season 2, but those have yet to be announced. For now, here are the currently confirmed Marvel TV shows releasing in 2025.

Daredevil: Born Again – March 2025

Charlie Cox Returns as Matt Murdock After His Canceled Netflix Series

Following the cancelation of Daredevil, it seemed Charlie Cox’s time playing Matt Murdock was done. However, that changed when he appeared in a surprise cameo in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Since the Netflix Defenders Saga was seemingly folded into the official sacred timeline, Matt Murdock has returned in Echo and She-Hulk, and will star in his own series, Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel confirmed Daredevil: Born Again will premiere in March 2025 on Disney+.

In addition to Cox, the series features returning stars Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle aka The Punisher, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page. Wilson Bethel will also return as Bullseye, who was one of the main villains of Daredevil season 3. Fans can finally see his story continue in the upcoming series after the Daredevil series ended on a cliffhanger regarding Bullseye.

Ironheart – 2025

Riri Williams Returns After 2021’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Dominique Thorne was introduced as Riri Williams, a legacy Iron Man character in Marvel Comics, in 2021’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She’s next set to appear in the Ironheart TV show, which will depict Riri’s full origin story and how she constructs a suit of armor like those worn by Tony Stark. Little is known about the series and many of the cast’s characters remain under wraps. However, Marvel confirmed Ironheart will premiere in 2025 on Disney+. An exact date will be announced at a later time.
