Andrés ‘N’, serial feminicide from Atizapán, receives 55 more years in prison – El Financiero

At the moment, the multifeminicide serves a life sentencea sentence of 92 years in prison and six sentences of 55 years in prison, for femicide, crimes linked to the disappearance of a person and homicide.

The evidence collected, provided and presented by the Agent of the Public Ministry of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) was decisive for the Judicial Authority to dictate this sentence of conviction for the accused, in addition it was established fine of 105 thousand 961 pesos and 1 million 864 thousand 036 pesos as reparation for material damage.

This is the eighth conviction that the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office obtains against Andrés Filomeno Mendoza Celis, and it adds to the one obtained on March 18, 2022 of life imprisonment for the criminal acts of femicide and crimes linked to the disappearance of a female.

On October 17 of that same year, the FGJEM obtained a sentence of 55 years in prison for this subject also for femicide and crimes linked to the disappearance of another woman.

On January 18, 2023, the Public Ministry also obtained a sentence of 92 years in prison against this subject for feminicide, homicide and crimes linked to the disappearance of a person. to the detriment of a woman and a child.


Subsequently, on March 29, July 10, August 23 and December 6 of last year, this Institution obtained sentences of 55 years in prison for feminicide and crimes linked to the disappearance of people to the detriment of four women.

Meanwhile, on February 8, the Judicial Authority issued a sentence of 55 years in prison for feminicide and crimes linked to the disappearance of a person to the detriment of a female with the initials BSO, who on April 7, 2012 left her home. domicile in the municipality of Coacalco to meet with a person, from that moment on his whereabouts were not known, however, from investigations it was possible to determine that Andrés Filomeno Mendoza Celis deprived her of her life, in a home located in the Ejidos de San Miguel neighborhood, in the municipality of Atizapan of Zaragoza.

The ‘monster’ of Atizapán was arrested in May 2021, and after carrying out a search of the property he lived inthe agency located more than 4,300 bone remains. In addition, criminalistic evidence was collected, such as identification, notebooks with names of people, descriptions of them, photographs, jewelry, women’s bags, footwear and various videos in VHS and 9 millimeter formats.

The State Prosecutor’s Office said that it continues with investigative acts in order to identify those who may have been victims of the commission of criminal acts by the now sentenced man.
