When the polls start closing on Election Day, a wave of vote totals showing the results of this long campaign will start pouring in.
But we won’t get everything at the same time from the same place, with different presidential battleground states finishing voting and starting counting at different times.
And it’s not just the presidential race — dozens of Senate and House races, as well as ballot questions and more local races, will make big news on Election Day (and the days after).
As you watch the results come in and keep track at home, here’s an hour-by-hour guide to when the battleground state polls close, the most competitive congressional races, and many of the key ballot questions to watch, all organized by poll closing time (all times below are converted to Eastern Standard Time).
States in split time zones are noted, with races listed at the time they close (and statewide races listed in the hour the final polls in that state close).

Florida
(NOTE: Florida’s final polls close at 8 p.m., but the vast majority of places in the state close at 7 p.m., including the two House races listed below. After 7 p.m., we will start seeing vote totals from places where the polls have closed.)
13th Congressional District (Clearwater): GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is facing Democrat Whitney Fox, a communications director for a local transit authority, in a district Trump won by 7 points in 2020.
27th Congressional District (Miami): GOP Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar is facing Democrat Lucia Baez-Geller, a member of the Miami-Dade County School Board.
Georgia
Notably, after having back-to-back years of contentious statewide elections, Georgia has no major race for the House, Senate or statewide officeholders. But it is one of the key states in the presidential race after a hard-fought campaign there.
Indiana
Governor: Republican Sen. Mike Braun is running for this open seat against former state Superintendent of Public Instruction Jennifer McCormick, a Democrat.
Senate: GOP Rep. Jim Banks is running to succeed Braun in the Senate, facing Democrat Valerie McCray, a psychologist.
1st District (Gary area): Republicans are again targeting this northern Indiana seat, which Democratic Rep. Frank Mrvan won in 2022 by 6 points. President Joe Biden carried the district by 8 points in 2020. Mrvan faces businessman Randell Niemeyer.
Kentucky
(Note: Polls close in Kentucky at 6 p.m. in several congressional districts so there will be results for this ballot measure before the full state closes at 7 p.m.)
Ballot measure: require U.S. citizenship to be able to vote in the state.
South Carolina
Ballot measure: provide in the state constitution that only a citizen (rather than every citizen) of the U.S. may vote.
Vermont
Governor: Republican Gov. Phil Scott runs against Democrat Esther Charlestin.
Senate: Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders is facing Republican Gerald Malloy, an Army veteran.
Virginia
Senate: Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine is running for a third term against Republican Hung Cao, a Navy veteran who ran unsuccessfully for the House in 2022.
2nd Congressional District (Virginia Beach): Biden won this Virginia Beach district by 2 points in 2020, but GOP Rep. Jen Kiggans flipped the seat in 2022, defeating then-Democratic Rep. Elaine Luria by 3 points. Kiggans is facing fellow Navy veteran Missy Cotter Smasal.
7th Congressional District (Northern Virginia): Democrat Eugene Vindman and Republican Derrick Anderson, both veterans, are running to replace Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger, who is running for governor. Vindman’s brother, Alexander Vindman, testified in Trump’s first impeachment hearings. Spanberger won the seat by 5 points in 2022, while Biden won here by 6 points in 2020.

North Carolina
Governor: Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein faces GOP Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson in a race roiled by allegations Robinson made inflammatory comments on a porn website forum.
Lieutenant governor: This race pits Democratic state Sen. Rachel Hunt, the daughter of former Gov. Jim Hunt, against GOP businessman Hal Weatherman.
Attorney general: This race pits two members of Congress against each other: Democrat Jeff Jackson and Republican Dan Bishop.
Secretary of state: Democrat Elaine Marshall is running for her eighth term against Republican Chad Brown, a Gaston County commissioner. This is the only secretary of state race this cycle where a Democrat is running for re-election in a state Trump won in 2020.
1st Congressional District (Northeast): Democratic Rep. Don Davis is facing Republican veteran and businesswoman Laurie Buckhout. Davis is facing a tougher path after redistricting. Biden would have carried the new district by just 1 point in 2020.
Ballot measure: provide in the state constitution that only a citizen (rather than every citizen) of the U.S. may vote.
Ohio
Senate: Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown is running for a fourth term in a state that has trended towards Republicans in recent election cycles. Trump carried Ohio by 8 points in 2020, two years after Brown won re-election in 2018 by 7 points. Brown is facing GOP businessman Bernie Moreno who made his fortune in car dealerships.
1st Congressional District (Cincinnati): Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman is facing Republican attorney Orlando Sonza in a district Biden won by 9 points in 2020.
9th Congressional District (Toledo): Trump won this district by 3 points in 2020, but Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur won her re-election bid in 2022 by 13 points, a larger than expected margin against a scandal-plagued opponent. This year, Kaptur is facing GOP state Rep. Derek Merrin.
13th Congressional District (Akron): Democratic Rep. Emilia Sykes won her first term in the Akron-based district by 5 points in 2022. This year she’s facing former state Sen. Kevin Coughlin. Biden won the district by 3 points in 2020.
Ballot measure: replace the state’s redistricting commission with a citizen-led commission.
West Virginia
Governor: GOP state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is the heavy favorite to fill the seat being left open by GOP Gov. Jim Justice (more on that below). He is running against Democrat Steve Williams, the former mayor of Huntington.
Senate: GOP Gov. Jim Justice is expected to win this open seat, replacing retiring Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin. Justice is facing Wheeling Mayor Glenn Elliot.
Secretary of state: Republican Kris Warner, the brother of sitting Secretary of State Mac Warner, is the heavy favorite against Democrat Thornton Cooper.
Ballot measure: prohibits people from participating in “the practice of medically assisted suicide, euthanasia, or mercy killing of a person.”

Alabama
2nd Congressional District (Montgomery): A court ordered Alabama to redraw its congressional map, making this seat a prime Democratic pickup opportunity that Biden carried by 11 points. Democrat Shomari Figures, a former Justice Department official, is facing GOP attorney Caroleene Dobson.
Connecticut
Senate: Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy is facing Republican Matt Corey, a Navy veteran.
5th Congressional District: Democratic Rep. Jahana Hayes has a rematch against former GOP state Sen. George Logan in this western Connecticut district. Hayes beat Logan in 2022 by just 1 point, in a district Biden won by 11 points in 2020.
Ballot measure: allow for no-excuse absentee voting.
Delaware
Senate: Democratic Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester is expected to win this race to succeed retiring Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin, though she is facing Republican Eric Hansen. Blunt Rochester would become the state’s first female and first Black senator.
Governor: Democratic county executive Matt Meyer runs against Republican state Rep. Michael Ramone in this open seat.
At-large Congressional District: Democratic state Sen. Sarah McBride is expected to win this race to represent the entire state in the House, becoming the first openly transgender member of Congress.
District of Columbia
Ballot measure: ranked choice and semi-open primaries.
Florida
(Most of Florida’s polls close at 7 p.m., but the final statewide poll closing is at 8 p.m.)
Senate: GOP Sen. Rick Scott is facing former Democratic Rep. Debbie Mucarsel Powell in a state Trump won by 4 points in 2020. Scott won his first term in 2018 by just over 10,000 votes.
Ballot measure: whether to legalize recreational marijuana.
Ballot measure: whether to add a right to abortion before fetal viability to the state constitution.
Illinois
17th Congressional District: Democratic Rep. Eric Sorensen is running for a second term in a district he won by 4 points in 2022, when he ran in an open seat. He faces former district judge Joseph McGraw, who resigned his position on the court in 2023. Biden carried the district by 8 points in 2020.
Kansas
(Note: While the final polls close in the state at 9 p.m., polls close at 8 p.m. in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Districts.)
3rd Congressional District (Kansas City): Democratic Rep. Sharice Davids, the only Democratic member in the state’s delegation, runs against Republican physician Prasanth Reddy.
Maine
Senate: Independent Sen. Angus King, who caucuses with Democrats, is facing Democrat David Costello and Republican Demi Kouzounas.
2nd Congressional District: Maine uses a ranked-choice voting system for congressional elections. Democratic Rep. Jared Golden is facing Republican state Rep. Austin Theriault, a former NASCAR driver, in a district Trump won by 7 points in 2020.
Maryland
Senate: Democrat Angela Alsobrooks, the Prince George’s County Executive, is running against former Republican Gov. Larry Hogan.
6th Congressional District (Frederick): Democrat April McClain Delaney, a former Commerce Department official and wife of former Rep. John Delaney, is facing Republican Neil Parrott, a former state delegate. They’re competing to replace Democratic Rep. David Trone, who ran unsuccessfully for Senate.
Ballot measure: add the right to reproductive freedom to the state constitution.
Massachusetts
Senate: Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren is facing Republican John Deaton, a Marine veteran.
Ballot measure: gradually increase tipped minimum wage to meet minimum wage in 2029.
Michigan
(Note: While the final polls close in battleground Michigan at 9 p.m. ET, the polls in a lot of the state, including in the races below, will close at 8 p.m.)
3rd Congressional District (Grand Rapids): Democratic Rep. Hillary Scholten is running against Republican Paul Hudson.
7th Congressional District (Lansing): Former GOP state Sen. Tom Barrett, who lost to Slotkin by 5 points in 2022, is running again, this time facing former Democratic state Sen. Curtis Hertel.
8th Congressional District (Saginaw, Flint): Democratic Rep. Dan Kildee opted not to run for re-election this year. Democratic state Sen. Kristen McDonald Rivet faces Republican former prosecutor Paul Junge.
10th Congressional District (north of Detroit): GOP Rep. John James eked out a victory by half a percentage point in 2022, after Trump won the district, which is north of Detroit, by 1 point in 2020. James is in a rematch against Democrat Carl Marlinga, a former county judge and prosecutor.
Mississippi
Senate: GOP Sen. Roger Wicker is facing Democrat Ty Pinkins, an Army veteran.
Missouri
Senate: GOP Sen. Josh Hawley is facing Democrat Lucas Kunce, a Marine veteran.
Governor: Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, a Republican, is favored to defeat Democratic state Rep. Crystal Quade in this open seat.
Ballot measure: establish that only citizens who are Missouri residents can vote and prohibits ranked-choice voting
Ballot measure: establish a constitutional right to reproductive freedom.
Ballot measure: raise the state minimum wage and require sick leave.
New Hampshire
(Note: The first results will be available prior to 8 p.m., which is the latest poll close time in the state. Also of note: midnight voting is expected, per tradition, in Dixville Notch.)
Governor: Former GOP Sen. Kelly Ayotte is running against Democrat Joyce Craig, the former mayor of Manchester, in the race to replace retiring Republican Gov. Chris Sununu.
1st Congressional District (Portsmouth, Manchester): Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas is facing Republican Russell Prescott, a former executive councilor, in a district Biden won by 6 points.
2nd Congressional District (Western half): The race to replace retiring Democratic Rep. Annie Kuster features GOP businesswoman Lily Tang Williams and Democrat Maggie Goodlander, a former deputy assistant attorney general who is married to White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
New Jersey
Senate: With Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez’s indictment and resignation, Democratic Rep. Andy Kim is likely to win against Republican Curtis Bashaw.
7th Congressional District (North Jersey): GOP Rep. Tom Kean Jr. flipped this seat by 4 points in 2022 after Biden won it by the same margin two years earlier. Kean is facing Democrat Sue Altman, who led the Working Families Alliance.
Oklahoma
Ballot measure: provide in the state constitution that only a citizen (rather than every citizen) of the U.S. may vote
Pennsylvania
Senate: Democratic Sen. Bob Casey is running for a third term against Republican Dave McCormick, a former hedge fund CEO who lost the GOP primary in 2022 to celebrity physician Mehmet Oz.
1st Congressional District (Philadelphia suburbs): GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick is facing Democratic Army veteran Ashley Ehasz, an Apache helicopter pilot, in a district Biden carried 5 points in 2020.
7th Congressional District (Allentown): Democratic Rep. Susan Wild is running against GOP state Rep. Ryan McKenzie. Wild was re-elected by just 2 percentage points in 2022, while Biden carried her district by 1 point two years prior.
8th Congressional District (Scranton): Democratic Rep. Matt Cartwright faces businessman Rob Bresnahan Jr. in a district Trump won by 3 points.
10th Congressional District (Harrisburg): Trump carried this Harrisburg-based district by 4 points in 2020 and GOP Rep. Scott Perry, a former House Freedom Caucus chairman, won re-election in 2022 by 8 points. But Democrats are still targeting the seat, touting former local news anchor Janelle Stelson as a top recruit.
17th Congressional District (Pittsburgh suburbs/northwest): Democratic Rep. Chris DeLuzio faces veteran and state Rep. Rob Mercuri. Biden carried the district by 6 points in 2020.
Rhode Island
Senate: Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse is facing GOP state Rep. Patricia Morgan.
Tennessee
Senate: Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn is running for re-election against state Rep. Gloria Johnson, who gained national notoriety as a member of the “Tennessee Three” group of lawmakers who were punished with expulsion votes after their protests on the floor about gun violence.
Texas

15th Congressional District (McAllen): GOP Rep. Monica de la Cruz is in a rematch against Democratic businesswoman Michelle Vallejo, who lost their 2022 race by 9 points. Trump won the district by 3 points.
28th Congressional District (Laredo): Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, who has held this seat since 2006 and is a powerful Democrat in South Texas, is running again despite being indicted on charges alleging bribery and foreign influence. His GOP opponent is Jay Furman, a military veteran.
34th Congressional District (South Texas): Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez is facing a rematch against former GOP Rep. Mayra Flores in a district he won in 2022 by 9 points. Biden carried this district by 16 points in 2020.

Senate: With independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema not seeking another term, Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego is running against former local television news anchor Kari Lake, a Trump-backed Republican who narrowly lost the governor’s race in 2022 and falsely claimed that the election was fraudulent.
1st Congressional District (Phoenix suburbs): Biden narrowly won this by 1 point and GOP Rep. David Schweikert won re-election in 2022 by just 1 point. Schweikert is facing Democrat Amish Shah, a former state legislator.
6th Congressional District (Tucson suburbs): GOP Rep. Juan Ciscomani is facing a rematch against former state Sen. Kirsten Engel, who Ciscomani defeated by 1 point in 2022. Biden carried the Tucson-based district by less than 1 percentage point in 2020.
Ballot measure: allow police to arrest noncitizens for illegal border crossing, grant state judges ability to deport, expand E-verify, and raise penalties for knowingly selling fentanyl that results in death.
Ballot measure: establish the fundamental right to abortion ahead of fetal viability in the state constitution, except in case of a “compelling state interest.”
Ballot Measure: modify the state’s tipped minimum wage policy.
Colorado
3rd Congressional District (Western Slope): Left open by Rep. Lauren Boebert’s decision to run in another district, her 2022 opponent, Democrat Adam Frisch, runs against Republican Jeff Hurd.
8th Congressional District (Denver suburbs): Democratic Rep. Yadira Caraveo is facing GOP state Rep. Gabe Evans in a district Biden carried by 5 points in 2020.
Ballot measure: establish a state constitutional right to abortion and repeal a restriction on public funding for abortion.
Iowa
1st Congressional District (Davenport): GOP Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, known for her 6-vote win in 2020 in this southeast Iowa district, is facing former Democratic state Rep. Christine Bohananan. Trump won this district by 2 points in 2020.
3rd Congressional District (Des Moines): Trump carried this district by less than half a percentage point in 2020, and GOP Rep. Zach Nunn flipped this seat in 2022 by 1 point. He’s facing Democrat Lanon Baccam, a former National Guardsman who worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Ballot measure: state that only a citizen of the U.S., rather than every citizen of the U.S., can vote, and provide that 17-year-olds who will be 18 by the general election may vote in primary elections.
Kansas
(Note: This marks the full, statewide close, but polls close at 8 p.m. in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Districts. See the 8 p.m. section for more on the 3rd District.)
Louisiana
6th Congressional District (Baton Rouge): This sprawling open seat that snakes from Baton Rouge in the center of the state all the way up to Shreveport in the northwest corner. Created by a Supreme Court ruling that gave the state a second majority-Black district, it’s open because GOP Rep. Garret Graves announced he wouldn’t run after the lines changed. Since Louisiana holds its primary on Election Day, and the runoff weeks later, it’s unclear who will advance in the crowded field.
Michigan
(Note: While the final polls close in Michigan at 9 p.m., the polls will close at 8 p.m. in some areas with key races, which are mentioned above.)
Senate: Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow’s retirement opened up this Senate seat in this presidential battleground. Democrats picked Rep. Elissa Slotkin as their nominee, while the GOP selected former Rep. Mike Rogers, who had Trump and national Republicans’ support in the primary.
Minnesota
Senate: Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar is running for re-election against Republican Royce White, a former college and professional basketball player.
2nd Congressional District (Twin Cities metro): After facing the same opponent in 2022 as she did in 2020, Democratic Rep. Angie Craig is running against a new candidate this year — Republican veteran Joe Teirab. She won the district by 5 points in 2022 and Biden carried it by a slightly larger margin — 7 points — in 2020.
Nebraska
Senate: GOP Sen. Deb Fischer is running for re-election against independent candidate Dan Osborn, a mechanic and union leader. Democrats do not have a candidate in this race.
Senate (special): GOP Sen. Pete Ricketts is running in a special election to serve out the final two years of former GOP Sen. Ben Sasse’s term, after being appointed to the Senate when Sasse resigned last year. Ricketts is facing Democrat Preston Love Jr., an adjunct professor.
2nd Congressional District (Omaha): GOP Rep. Don Bacon is facing a rematch against Democratic states Sen. Tony Vargas, whom Bacon defeated by 3 points in 2022. Biden carried the district by 6 points in 2020, winning its one electoral vote.
Ballot measure: establish a right to abortion until fetal viability.
Ballot measure: prohibit abortion after first trimester unless “medical emergency” or pregnancy from a sexual assault or incest. The state says out of the two conflicting abortion measures, the measure with the most raw votes will become law.
Ballot Measure: legalize recreational marijuana.
New Mexico
Senate: Democratic Sen. Martin Heinrich is running for re-election against Republican Nella Domenici, whose late father served as the state’s longtime senator.
2nd Congressional District (South, part of Albuquerque): Former GOP Rep. Yvette Herrell is challenging Democratic Rep. Gabe Vasquez in a rematch of their 2022 election, which Vasquez won by just 1 percentage point. Biden carried the district by 6 points in 2020.
New York
Senate: Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is facing Republican Mike Sapraicone, a former New York Police detective.
1st Congressional District (Long Island): GOP Rep. Nick LaLota is running for a second term against Democrat John Avlon, a former CNN commentator. Trump would have won this district by 2 points if the new lines had been in place in 2020.
3rd Congressional District (Long Island and Queens): Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi is running for a full term after winning a special election in February to replace ousted GOP Rep. George Santos. Suozzi is facing Republican Mike LiPetri, a former state assemblyman.
4th Congressional District (Long Island): GOP Rep. Anthony D’Esposito is in a rematch against former Hempstead Town Supervisor Laura Gillen, whom D’Esposito defeated by 4 points in 2022. Biden won this district by 15 points.
17th Congressional District (New York City suburbs): GOP Rep. Mike Lawler is facing former Democratic Rep. Mondaire Jones in this district, which Biden carried by 10 points in 2020. In 2022, Lawler defeated then-Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney by less than 1 point
18th Congressional District (Hudson Valley): Democratic Rep. Pat Ryan faces former New York police officer Alison Esposito. Biden carried the district by 9 points in 2020.
19th Congressional District (Hudson Valley): GOP Rep. Marc Molinaro is in a rematch against Democratic attorney Josh Riley, who Molinaro defeated by 2 points in 2022. Biden won the district by 4 points.
22nd Congressional District (Syracuse): New York Democrats shifted this Syracuse-based district towards their party, making it a seat Biden carried by 12 points, when they redrew the congressional lines earlier this year. GOP Rep. Brandon Williams is running against Democratic state Sen. John Mannion.
Ballot measure: establish a broad equal protection of law amendment that adds “pregnancy outcomes” and “gender identity” to classes protected from discrimination
North Dakota
Governor: GOP Rep. Kelly Armstrong is expected to win this race against Democratic state Sen. Merrill Piepkorn, which would mean succeeding GOP Gov. Doug Burgum, who decided not to run for a third term.
Senate: Republican Sen. Kevin Cramer is facing Democrat Katrina Christiansen, an assistant professor.
South Dakota
Ballot measure: legalize recreational marijuana.
Ballot Measure: create top-two open primaries for top electoral offices.
Ballot Measure: provide a state constitutional framework for abortion regulations based on trimesters similar to Roe (prohibition on restrictions through viability, than ability for more restrictions further along).
Texas

Senate: GOP Sen. Ted Cruz is facing Democratic Rep. Colin Allred in a state Trump won by 6 points in 2020.
Wisconsin
Senate: Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin is facing Republican businessman Eric Hovde in a state Biden won Wisconsin by just 1 point in 2020.
1st Congressional District (Southwest, Racine): GOP Rep. Brian Steil is facing former Democratic Rep. Peter Barca in a district Trump won by 2 points.
3rd Congressional District (Western, La Crosse): GOP Rep. Derrick Van Orden is facing Democratic nonprofit owner Rebecca Cooke in a seat Trump carried the seat by 4 points in 2020.
Ballot measure: measures stating only citizens can vote.
Wyoming
Senate: GOP Sen. John Barrasso is facing Democrat Scott Morrow.

Montana
Senate: Democratic Sen. Jon Tester is facing former Navy SEAL Tim Sheehy, a businessman who founded an aerial firefighting company. Trump won this state by 16 points in 2016.
Governor: Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte is running for re-election against gun rights activist Ryan Busse.
1st Congressional District (Bozeman, Missoula): GOP Rep. Ryan Zinke is in a rematch against Democratic attorney Monica Tranel, whom Zinke defeated by 2 points in 2022. Trump won this district by 7 points.
Ballot measure: provide a state constitutional right to an abortion.
Nevada
Senate: Democratic Sen. Jacky Rosen is facing Republican Sam Brown, an Army veteran who was severely burned after a roadside bomb exploded under his vehicle. Biden won Nevada by 2 points in 2020.
1st Congressional District (Las Vegas and suburbs): Democratic Rep. Dina Titus is facing Republican Mark Robertson, a retired Army colonel. Biden won the district by 9 points in 2020.
3rd Congressional District (Las Vegas suburbs): Republican marketing consultant Drew Johnson is taking on Democratic Rep. Susie Lee in a district Biden won by 6 points.
4th Congressional District (North Vegas): Democratic Rep. Steven Horsford, who chairs the Congressional Black Caucus, is facing Republican John Lee, the former mayor of North Las Vegas, in a district Biden won by 8 points.
Ballot measure: establish a state constitutional right to abortion.
Ballot Measure: change the state’s voting system to use open, top-five primaries and ranked-choice voting.
Ballot Measure: require photo ID to vote in person or provide driver’s license or Social Security information when voting by mail.
Utah
Senate: GOP Rep. John Curtis is expected to win the race to replace retiring Republican Sen. Mitt Romney. Curtis is facing Democratic activist Caroline Gleich.
Governor: Republican Gov. Spencer Cox runs for re-election against Democratic state Rep. Brian King.

9th Congressional District (Stockton): Republican Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln is taking on Democratic Rep. Josh Harder in this district, which Biden won by 13 points.
13th Congressional District (Central Valley): GOP Rep. John Duarte is facing a rematch against Democrat Adam Gray, a former state assemblyman who lost to Duarte by less than half a percentage point in 2022. Biden carried this district by 11 points.
22nd Congressional District (Central Valley): This race is also a rematch between Republican Rep. David Valadao and former Democratic Assemblyman Rudy Salas, who lost by 3 points in 2022. Biden carried the district by 13 points. Valadao is one of two Republicans still in the House who voted to impeach Trump after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
27th Congressional District (North of Los Angeles, Santa Clarita): This is another double-digit Biden district (+12), where GOP Rep. Mike Garcia is facing Democrat George Whitesides, a former NASA chief of staff and Virgin Galactic CEO.
40th Congressional District (Southern California): Biden carried this district by 2 points, but GOP Rep. Young Kim won a second term by a decisive 14 points in 2022. She is facing Democrat Joe Kerr, a retired fire captain.
41st Congressional District (Riverside County): Republican Rep. Ken Calvert is facing a rematch against Democrat Will Rollins, a former prosecutor who lost to Calvert by 6 points in 2022. Trump carried the district by 1 point in 2020.
45th Congressional District (Southern California): GOP Rep. Michelle Steel is facing Democratic attorney and Army veteran Derek Tran in a district Biden won by 6 points.
47th Congressional District (Irvine): Republican Scott Baugh, a former state legislator, is running again after losing to Democratic Rep. Katie Porter by 3 points in 2022. Democratic state Sen. Dave Min is running to replace Porter, who vacated her House seat to make an unsuccessful run for Senate.
49th Congressional District (San Clemente): Democratic Rep. Mike Levin is facing auto dealer Matt Gunderson, a self-described “pro-choice” Republican, in a district Biden won by 11 points.

5th Congressional District (Portland suburbs): Biden carried this district south of Portland by 9 points in 2020, but Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer flipped this seat for the GOP in 2022 by two points. She is facing Democratic state Rep. Janelle Bynum.
6th Congressional District (Salem): Democratic Rep. Andrea Salinas is in a rematch against Republican businessman Mike Erickson, who Salinas beat by 3 percentage points in 2022. Biden carried the district in 2020 by 13 points.

Washington
Governor: Democratic Attorney General Bob Ferguson runs for this open seat against former Republican Rep. Dave Reichert.
3rd Congressional District (Southwest): Democratic Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez will face Republican Joe Kent again, after beating him by less than 1 point in 2022. Trump won the district by 4 points in 2020.
4th Congressional District (Central): Thanks to the state’s top-two primary system, GOP Rep. Dan Newhouse is facing fellow Republican Jerrod Sessler, a former NASCAR driver who has Trump’s endorsement. Newhouse is one of two Republicans left in the House who voted to impeach Trump after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Trump won this district by 17 points in 2020.
8th Congressional District (east of Seattle): Democratic Rep. Kim Schrier is facing Republican banker Carmen Goers in a district Biden won by 7.

At-large Congressional District: Trump won this district by 10 points in 2020, but Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola flipped this seat by the same margin in 2022, the first year for the state’s ranked-choice voting system, This year, Nick Begich will be the only Republican on the general election ballot, alongside Peltola, Democrat Eric Hafner and John Howe, a member of the Alaskan Independence Party.
