President Biden spoke to reporters after receiving a briefing on the preparations for Milton and warned it could be “the worst storm to hit Florida in over a century.” The president urged those in danger to evacuate and pledged the federal government would remain in the area to help with recovery efforts after it passes. Biden also discussed ongoing recovery efforts from Helene and his decision to cancel a foreign trip to monitor the storm.
