The theft trial of former rugby star Brendan Mullin heard about the inner workings of the “bank for the rich” and the mystery of a €500,000 transfer that over a decade later has never been tracked down.
At the centre of the three-week Dublin Circuit Criminal Court trial was a company called Spice Holdings, which the court heard Mullin introduced to the private bank and which was sent a €500,000 transfer from Bank of Ireland Private Bank in 2011 that has never been recovered.
