Agriculture is poised for a major windfall in today’s Budget as the Government prepares to unveil new incentives for farmers ahead of an expected general election.

The Farming Independent understands funding will increase to over €2bn for the first time as both Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil move to shore up the crucial farmer vote.
