National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day and Kaiser Permanente Southern California: Members of Kaiser Permanente and the public may drop off expired and unwanted prescription drugs, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. No questions asked. Child and Family Guidance Center Halloween Festival and Health Fair: The non-profit holds the event that includes arts and crafts, pumpkin decorating, carnival games, trick-or-treat Halloween areas, health booths, live music and a petting zoo, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Families with children ages 12 and younger are invited to wear costumes (children must be accompanied by an adult). Fundraiser and Volunteer

 

Children’s Hospital Halloween Greeting Card Drive: Choose a card from the website (three design choices and patients color the cards after receiving) and write a message to a child in the hospital. Website gives guidelines for writing a message. Cards will be printed out and hand-delivered with a “goody bag” by a member of the CHLA’s Child Life team. An anonymous donor has pledged to give $1 per card — up to $50,000 — to the hospital through Oct. 31. Details: chla.org/halloween
