Colorado star Travis Hunter was knocked out of Saturday’s game against in-state rival Colorado State.
Hunter took a late hit from CSU’s Henry Blackburn on an incomplete pass late in the first quarter at Folsom Field. He immediately took his helmet off and remained on the ground for a couple of minutes.
Hunter returned to the game after that, but only briefly. In the third quarter CU announced that Hunter was out for the remainder of the game and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Blackburn was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness for the hit on Hunter.
A standout cornerback and receiver, Hunter caught two passes for 21 yards before leaving the game. He also recorded two tackles on defense.
