UANL 2024 Labor Fair offers a wide range of jobs – El Financiero

More than 1,200 jobs were offered at the UANL Labor Fair, 2024 edition, an event that had the participation of 100 companies and was carried out in coordination with the Nuevo León Ministry of Labor.

In order to bring job offers closer to students and graduates, the fair, which had been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was held at the Rectory Esplanade.

In it, more than 2 thousand students gathered early in the morning to visit the stands of companies such as Aceros Escobedo, ACS Internacional, Bulkmatic, Caintra Nuevo León, Callclick, DDA Distribuciones, Decathlon, Denes, among others.

The inauguration was headed by Rector Santos Guzmán López, who thanked all the chambers of commerce for their support in offering the different vacancies to students and graduates.

“We know that one fair is not enough and we must do them more frequently so that our students can position themselves and demonstrate the excellence of the educational level and the human resources that are formed at the UANL,” said Santos Guzmán López, Rector of the UANL.

Guzmán López added that public universities are prepared to offer qualified labor and suggested that participating companies make observations or requests so that the study plans of some careers can be related to the objectives they seek in a professional.

“This event is a range of opportunities for students and graduates due to the connection with the Ministry of Labor. Nuevo León has a record investment in various lines of production and development and the UANL is prepared to offer qualified and quality graduates for what the state and Mexico need,” he declared.

The university president told the representatives of companies and chambers of commerce that the UANL can offer training courses, certifications, workshops and diplomas for its personnel seeking to specialize in their work areas.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Arturo Cavazos Leal, in charge of the Office of the state Ministry of Labor; Juan Paura García, General Secretary of the University; Javier Sepúlveda Ponce, director of Social Service and Professional Practices at the same University; and directors of high schools and faculties of the UANL.
