Budgets, budgets, budgets. For the new FAI CEO, whose appointment is believed to be imminent, it’s the word that is going to hang over everything they do both in the short and the long term.

The name of Munster CEO Ian Flanagan, who has a background in football as a commercial director at Leicester City, has been the strongest in dispatches across the last week, with indications that Swim Ireland chief Sarah Keane, a popular option in Government circles, could miss out again.
