A drunk driver who knocked a cyclist over the handlebars of his bike had “effectively poured a bottle of vodka” into herself before getting behind the wheel of her car, a court heard.
The victim suffered multiple cuts and bruises and was lucky not to be fatally injured when he was struck by Rebecca Griffith (33), who was found with an “extraordinarily high” level of alcohol in her system.
