Fighting between Israeli army and Hezbollah inside Irish peacekeepers’ zone in Lebanon

There has been fighting between Hezbollah and Israeli forces inside Lebanon in the zone policed by Irish UN peacekeepers.

However, there are no plans to pull Irish troops out of the country as Israel ramps up its ground invasion of its neighbour and trades fire with Iran-backed Hezbollah fighters, within a few kilometres of the Irish Unifil base, Camp Shamrock, in the south of the country.
