Conspiracy theories have engulfed Leinster House. The general election date rabbit hole has swallowed not just respectable politicians, but their staffers and even the ushers, who are the eyes and ears of the building.
One usher has a theory that once Taoiseach Simon Harris comes back from his trip to the White House next month he will head straight from the airport to the Áras where he will dissolve the Dáil and call the election.
