Investors back €10m fund to buy up Irish dental clinics and build chain

Private equity group plans to acquire 30 practices within five years

UK private equity group Lonsdale Capital Partners has tapped well-heeled Irish investors to back what is understood to be about a €10m fund that will be used to acquire as many as 30 general dental practices in Ireland over the next five years. 

Steven Lynch, a co-founder of Irish firm Medaccount, is leaving his role there to head up the new acquisition vehicle. He said the first three acquisitions are imminent.
