Iran launched hundreds of missiles at Israel on Tuesday, in what it said was a retaliation for the assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah last week.
Alarms sounded across the country and Israelis rushed for shelter. Reporters on state television lay flat on the ground during live broadcasts.
