The posts come a few months after the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle opened up to PEOPLE for the My Life in Pictures series about helping his eldest daughter start a new chapter when she first moved into her college dorm in August 2023.

He gave a behind-the-scenes look at how it came about, while sharing a photo of the event, saying, “We’re making sad faces to show her how much we’re gonna miss her. We told her to ‘be cool’ in the middle, so this is my daughter’s impression of ‘cool’ while we suffer with the idea of losing her in the house.”

Hart emotionally recalled the milestone as “a very proud moment, a proud day, for me as a father.”

The actor later explained in the video, “All you can do is do your job as a parent, and when they leave, hope that those things that you try to teach have applied in some way, some shape, some form. If they have, you’ll be fine.”
