Lisa McHugh, Daniel O’Donnell and Cliona Hagan among stars to perform during Late Late Show country music special

The programme will host a star-studded cast bringing the brightest talents from the Irish country music scene to TV screens across the country.

Host Patrick Kielty promised a night filled with toe-tapping tunes, heartfelt tributes, and a surprise for one lucky fan.

The show will feature a mix of both seasoned stars and fresh faces, ensuring there’s something for every country music lover, from new fans to the die-hard followers of the genre.

Top performers such as Lisa McHugh, Lee Matthews, Cliona Hagan, and Sandy Kelly will take the stage to belt out hits both new and nostalgic.

Whether it’s chart-topping tunes or timeless classics, this lineup guarantees a memorable night of country music at its finest.

The Late Late Show will also pay tribute to legendary country singer and songwriter Kris Kristofferson, who passed away earlier this week.

Irish country legend Daniel O’Donnell and Eastenders star-turned-country singer Shona McGarty will perform in his honour in a tribute performance, celebrating his enduring influence on the music world.

In addition to musical performances, the Queens of Country, Philomena Begley, Susan McCann, and Margo, will sit down for a candid chat with Mr Kielty, sharing stories from their eventful careers.

More live performances from Derek Ryan and the Kilfenora Céilí Band will have viewers dancing along from their living rooms.

There will also be a “fun” twist as X-Factor star Janet Devlin, social media personality Garron Noone, Margo, and Mike Denver play a round of “Wild West Roulette”.

Father-daughter duo Jimmy and Claudia Buckley will perform a special duet, and Michael English will team up with Chantelle Padden, Clodagh Lawlor, and David James for a celebration of beloved country hits.

To top it off, the night will see a new inductee into The Late Late Show Country Music Hall of Fame, further contributing to the legacy of Irish country music.

And, in true Late Late fashion, one unsuspecting country fan will be in for the surprise of a lifetime.
