A man in his 40s was shot and killed at the wheel of his car before it crashed into an apartment building in Valley Village on Saturday, Oct. 20, authorities and a broadcast report said.
The shooting occurred around 2:20 p.m. in the 11900 block of Chandler Boulevard. Officers found the man sitting in the driver’s seat suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead by paramedics, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
The car crashed into an apartment building, KCAL News reported. The station said victim was in a black Audi, and witnesses told investigators the shooter drove from the scene in a dark colored Lexis sedan.
Details about the victim were not released, pending notification to his family.
No further information about the shooting or possible motive was released.
There was no word on any injuries in the building.
