Martin Breheny: Ignoring the handpass virus is a real sickener for football – FRC’s proposals don’t tackle root cause

The talking, trialling and sandboxing are over – it’s judgement time. The GAA’s Central Council will decide on Saturday how many of the Football Review Committee’s proposed rule changes will be forwarded to Special Congress on November 30.

They will do so against a depressing background where football has shed so much entertainment value that doing nothing to rectify it is not an option.
