Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni has filed a complaint against Telangana Environment Minister Konda Surekha after she commented on his son Naga Chaitanya’s divorce with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and blamed Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao for the same. Nagarjuna, in his complaint, said that the Congress leader was fully aware of the false nature of her statements and deliberately spread allegations with the sole intention of damaging their family reputation.
The complaint stated, “The statement was made with the malicious intent of conveying falsehoods to the public at large, intending to cause harm to the complainant and his family reputation for political gain and sensationalism. The above actions constitute a criminal offence.”
Before this, KT Rama Rao, too, sent a defamation notice to Konda Surekha for her comments. Surekha said, “KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce.”
Following this statement, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu responded strongly and called out the minister’s remarks. They were backed by their family members and industry colleagues such as Jr NTR, Nani, Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi.
