Olivia Pope & Associates is reuniting with the Grant Administration to support Americans in need.
The cast of beloved ABC political drama “Scandal” and series creator Shonda Rhimes will participate in a virtual script reading later this month, actor Bellamy Young announced on Instagram.
The fundraiser reunion seeks to raise money for western North Carolina communities devastated by Hurricane Helene, including Young’s hometown of Asheville.
One lucky donor will be chosen to join the call and read a role one alongside the cast, including star Kerry Washington.
No previous acting experience is required. The actors have not yet confirmed which episode the cast will be reading.
Cast announce reunion in virtual skit
The reunion was announced through an Instagram skit that began with Young and Tony Goldwyn, who played Mellie Grant and Fitzgerald Grant, chatting on a Zoom call.
“It’s been so long since we had the whole “Scandal” fam together,” Young tells Goldwyn. “Remember how we’d look forward to table reads. We’d find out everything that Shonda and the writers had in the store for us next. It was so crazy.”
He replies: “That was the best. Maybe we can get together for an online reading like do it for a worthy cause.”
Several actors then appear showing support for the event, including Scott Foley, Katie Lowes and Guillermo DÃaz.
