JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — We’re just over an hour over away from the 103rd playing of. The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party between Georgia and Florida. The SEC released the final availability report for each team and the Bulldogs’ no longer includes senior right guard Tate Ratledge nor sophomore defensive lineman Jordan Hall.
It does, however, list six players as out to start the game with two of those set to miss the first half. Senior safety Dan Jackson and sophomore STAR/nickel Joenel Aguero are suspended for the first half after being ejected for targeting against Texas two weeks ago. Both fouls came in the second half of the game, meaning they must miss the first two quarters of the next contest.
Senior linebacker Smael Mondon (foot), sophomore wideout Anthony Evans (hamstring), redshirt sophomore running back Branson Robinson(knee), redshirt freshman running back Roderick Robinson (toe), and junior defensive end Joseph Jonah-Ajonye (lower extremity) are also out for the game. Each of those players have been on the Georgia availability report since at least Thursday. That’s when Evans joined the list.
If Hall plays it will be his first action of the season. He has missed each of the first seven games after having surgery on one tibia stress fracture in July and then the same surgery on the opposite leg in August. Ratledge has missed Georgia’s past four contests, a stretch where the Bulldogs have managed to go 3-1.
Jonah-Ajonye will miss the rest of the 2024 season after surgery almost two weeks ago. Mondon and both running backs have a chance to get back on the field in November but Georgia hasn’t spoken of a potential timeline for those three. Evans suffered the hamstring injury this week and Smart has yet to speak of the injury.
On the Florida side of things there are a couple of key game-time decisions. Senior running back Montrell Johnson, the team’s leading rusher, will be a game-time decision. The same is true for senior right guard Damieon George.
