Irish Rail has told commuters travelling to and from Heuston Station to expect significant delays due to a “tragic incident” on the line.
“Services have been suspended between Kildare and Newbridge following a report of a tragic incident on the line,” Irish Rail said on X.
The line between Kildare and Newbridge is closed with significant disruption on all Heuston Commuter and Heuston Intercity routes.
The operator said Phoenix Park Tunnel services are still operating, between Grand Canal Dock to Hazelhatch.
Emergency services are en route to attend to the tragic incident.
“We are working to arrange bus transfers where possible,” Irish Rail added.
