Sims 4 Fan’s Cheat Sheet Just Made Completing Collections So Much Easier

Sims 4 Fan’s Cheat Sheet Just Made Completing Collections So Much Easier

The Sims 4 players looking to complete every activity in the game have undoubtedly come up against the dreaded Collections, but with this helpful cheat sheet, discovering everything is easier than ever. During a normal playthrough of The Sims 4, users can hunt down and pick up several Collectibles that don’t really do much beyond demonstrating one’s dedication. Consisting of everything from Frogs and Insects to Microscope Prints and Space Rocks, there are plenty of unique Collectibles scattered throughout the game, which makes finding them all quite a challenge.

Over on Reddit, user fluffhq shared a comprehensive cheat sheet of every item included in the Crystals, Elements, Fishing Frogs, Gardening, Insects, Metals, and Postcards Collections.

Every entry comes equipped with a visual depiction of the item in question, meaning those who are struggling to find everything have an easy reference tool to browse. Given that it can often take players hours to figure out which individual collectible they may have missed, having a guide to what’s required for completion will both speed up the hunt and optimize the search.

What’s The Point Of Collections In The Sims 4?

They’re Great For Showing Off

When it comes to gathering every Collectible in The Sims 4, doing so may not be worth all the required effort. Certain Collectibles can be used to gain Aspiration points and level Sims quickly, and others, like Frogs, can be bred to create rare variants that can be sold for a decent price. Additionally, Insects and Harvests can be used to improve fertilizer which is great for players wanting to set up a self-sustainable farm or sell off any excess fruits and vegetables.

Generally speaking though, there’s no point in holding onto Collectibles. Players who take pride in their ability to power through the search process and hunt down every Collectible in the game can display them as trophies but this won’t provide any mechanical benefit. While some initially believed completing every Collection granted a massive reward, that’s not the case.

Players who haven’t yet tracked down every Collectible in The Sims 4 shouldn’t feel pressured to go out of their way. Developer Maxis has confirmed that it intends to continue building upon the life-sim for the foreseeable future, dashing fans’ dreams of a fifth mainline game. While the community found the news frustrating, some of the suggested expansions put forward by Maxis, including DLC based on a monarchy and undersea exploration, may be exactly what the game needs to keep chugging on.
