This Revenge K-Drama From 2 Years Ago Is A Must-Watch For Fans Of All Of Us Are Dead

Warning: This article contains mentions of suicide.

Revenge of Others is the perfect K-drama for All of Us Are Dead fans to watch while waiting for season 2. With reports that All of Us Are Dead season 2 won’t start production until 2025, the wait for the zombie K-drama to return will be even longer than expected. It’s been almost three years since All of Us Are Dead premiered on Netflix and became one of the streamer’s most-watched non-English tiles, yet not much is known about the second other than it is officially happening.

Although other horror K-dramas can scratch the itch for more All of Us Are Dead, it can also be interesting to check out other shows and movies starring the cast of the zombie series. Given the premise of the show – high schoolers fighting zombies – most All of Us Are Dead characters were played by relatively young actors whose careers were just getting started. Still, there are plenty of K-dramas featuring or starring All of Us Are Dead actors, including Revenge of Others.

Revenge Of Others Is A Revenge K-Drama Starring Lomon

Lomon Plays Lee Su-hyeok In All Of Us Are Dead

A few months after his breakout role in Netflix’s All of Us Are Dead, Lomon starred in another webseries for a major streaming platform – Disney+’s Revenge of Others. The revenge K-drama premiered in November 2022 and told the story of Ok Chan-mi, who transferred herself to a new school to investigate the death of his brother. Chan-mi’s family was told that her brother had taken his own life, but she did not believe it and decided to investigate things herself. Cha-mi becomes the new student in class as she tries to understand what happened to Chan-kyu.

Lomon plays Ji Soo-heon in Revenge of Others, whose story ties into Chan-mi’s because of his unusual side hustle. Soo-heon works as a “muscle for hire” for students who are suffering bullying, meaning that he gets back at whoever is hurting his “clients” in exchange for money. Suspecting that Chan-kyu was bullied to death at the campus of Yong-Tan High School, Chan-mi teams up with Soo-heon to expose those involved. While not too different from other revenge K-dramas set in school, Revenge of Others’ premise is interesting enough and makes for a fun watch.

How Lomon’s Revenge Of Others Role Compares To All Of Us Are Dead’s Su-hyeok

Both Characters Stood Up Against Bullies But For Different Reasons

While All of Us Are Dead and Revenge of Others are very different shows, Soo-heon does share some similarities with Su-hyeok. In fact, Lomon’s Revenge of Others role flipped the story of Su-hyeok, who, before the events of All of Us Are Dead, used to be a bully. When we meet Su-hyeok in All of Us Are Dead season 1, Lomon’s character is trying to make up for his mistakes and no longer hangs around with the bullies. Su-hyeok even started to stand up against the bullies to protect students like Eun-ji.

Lomon recently starred in
Branding in Seongsu Dong
.

Soo-heon does something similar in Revenge of Others, except that he charges for it. The idea of a muscle for hire against bullies made for some funny moments in Revenge of Others, although the nature of the story was very serious and tragic by default. Lomon brings levity and a sense of energy to most of his roles, and it’s no different for All of Us Are Dead and Revenge of Others. Interestingly, Revenge of Others was not Lomon’s first revenge series. The actor also starred in 2017’s Sweet Revenge, one of his first major roles.

What To Expect From Lomon’s Lee Su-hyeok In All Of Us Are Dead Season 2

Will Su-hyeok And Nam-ra Have A Happy Ending?

With All of Us Are Dead season 2 still far away, it can be difficult to predict where the show is heading next, especially since there is no longer a webtoon for it to cover. However, the end of season 1 can give us an idea of what will happen to Su-hyeok. He and Nam-ra developed a strong bond throughout the show and shared a kiss in the latter half of the season, even though Nam-ra was already a hambie at that point. Su-hyeok stood by Nam-ra and made sure she would stay with the group.

However, in episode 12, Nam-ra once again loses control of her powers and almost kills On-jo. She decided to run away from the group and disappeared. Fortunately, in the final scene of season 1, Nam-ra reappeared, this time with much better control of her zombie powers. Still, she cannot go back to the quarantine zone with Su-hyeok and the others. Nam-ra is living with other hambies in the wreckages of the city, which is set to be one of the main storylines in All of Us Are Dead season 2.
