Many eateries offer takeaway options these days, so why not try some of these hotspots next time you’re ordering in?
Everyone’s crazy busy at this time of year and while we have a world of takeaway outlets and food trucks offering a myriad of colourful cuisines, people sometimes forget that many great restaurants provide a food to go service too. So, whether you’re having a girls’ night, a family get-together, or a dinner party, why not let someone else do the cooking? Plate it up, hide the containers, and it can be your little secret!
Beshoff Bros One of my great joys over the years was crossing the bay from Dun Laoghaire to Howth on the Dart and sitting on the seafront looking at the fishing boats while munching scampi with tartare sauce and piping hot chips (€15.90), while himself would enjoy a tub of their excellent seafood chowder (€8.95). Then they opened nearer home on Mespil Road in D4, so handy for a fishy supper. There are also branches in Clontarf and Malahide. beshoffbros.com
