Sabrina Ionescu probably spent a lot of time partying after winning the WNBA title.
Ionescu helped the New York Liberty post a 67-62 overtime win over the Minnesota Lynx in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals series on Sunday to capture the first title in franchise history.
Ionescu played 40 minutes in the game and the time on the floor, combined with the post-game celebration could be why Ionescu suffered a leg cramp during a photoshoot of her posing with the WNBA championship trophy on Monday.
Posing behind the championship trophy, Ionescu grabbed the front of her left leg, howled in pain while falling backward. A couple of teammates tried to help, with a couple massaging her leg, another apparently giving her a drink from a bottle of champagne along with Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello giving Ionescu some “emergency” CPR.
Ionescu and her teammates’ reaction to the cramp continued the fun and celebration after winning the title.
