Tel Aviv awoke to air-raid sirens yesterday after Hezbollah fired a long-range missile towards Israel’s commercial centre, the deepest strike yet by the militants.

Israel’s air-defence systems intercepted the missile before impact, as they have the majority of projectiles fired from Lebanon in recent days.
