‘What’s better than cornbread and biscuits?’ Grab Dolly Parton’s favorite mixes from Amazon

Dolly Parton keeps sprinkling her magic on everything she touches and, right now, she’s got her sight set on your kitchen. The holidays are heading our way and while some of us might be distracted by gift shopping, others are ready to turn on ovens for the biggest meals of the year — for that, Dolly’s dishing out her cornbread and biscuits for just $3 a box, courtesy of Amazon.

As a little slice of the South, this mix was made sweet by popular demand. For those who want it less sweet, there’s a recipe on the back of the box for jalapeño cornbread.

Dolly celebrates Southern cooking — in September, she released her latest cookbook Good Lookin’ Cookin’: A Year of Meals – A Lifetime of Family, Friends, and Food which she wrote with her sister, but if you just need a little extra help in the kitchen, her Duncan Hines treasures are not to be missed.

“When you don’t have time to start from scratch or [you] don’t really know how to cook, you get mixes like these, and you can’t make mistakes if you follow the directions,” she told Eater. “I just wanted to do something that was good for everybody, and what’s better than cornbread and biscuits?”

The cornbread mix is inspired by her family recipe. This version is sweet, but she prefers it less sweet. If you’re like Dolly, you can use the recipe on the box for a spicy cornbread.

Dolly is especially proud of her biscuit mix and if you’ve ever made biscuits from scratch, you know why.

“Everybody makes biscuits, but how many people make buttermilk biscuits unless you really are from the South?” she said. “I love it all. I eat gravy and biscuits at least once a week for breakfast with sausage or whatever. With the same pan, I’ll get a biscuit and put apple butter or jam or jelly on there. Whatever looks good. There’s no bad way to eat a biscuit.”

This mix makes bringing Dolly’s down-home spirit to the table easy. As Dolly says, ‘There’s no bad way to eat a biscuit.’
