The White Collar revival secretly announced its expanded cast members, and it highlights just how better it is than Suits LA. Created by Jeff Eastin, White Collar was part of the USA Network’s peak in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Released several years before Suits, it centers on Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay’s Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke — an unusual pairing of an ex-conman and an FBI agent solving white-collar crimes in New York. White Collar was a fun watch, with intriguing weekly cases highlighting Neal and Peter’s dynamic.
White Collar’s revival was already years in the making. Eastin first teased the idea in 2020, saying that he had a conversation with Bomer about the matter. Despite that, it’s safe to say that Suits‘ streaming dominance in 2023 helped move it forward. Aaron Korsh’s legal series about Harvey Specter and Mike Ross found new life on Netflix, which made some kind of revival inevitable, resulting in Suits LA. Now, both USA Network shows are looking to return to TV, but White Collar‘s comeback just sounds so much more intriguing, especially after its expanded cast is announced.
White Collar Revival Also Brings Back Its Supporting Cast
Suits LA Doesn’t Have Anyone From The Original Show
The fact that White Collar is an actual sequel already makes it better than Suits LA. Because of the way Suits ended, not to mention the situation with some of its main cast members, Korsh opted to expand the legal franchise by launching a new series. Suits LA will exist in the same universe as the original series and Pearson, but it will feature an entirely new ensemble. While it has been teased, no one from Pearson Hardman is confirmed to make an appearance.
Meanwhile, not only is the new White Collar bringing back its core cast of Neal, Peter, and Tiffani Thiessen’s Elizabeth Burke, but it will also feature its best-supporting characters. As revealed in a new social media post by Eastin, Marsha Thomason’s FBI Special Agent Diana Berrigan and Sharif Atkins’ FBI Special Agent Clinton Jones are returning as well. While both started as recurring characters, both characters were eventually promoted to series regulars up until White Collar’s end. Check out Eastin’s post that tags the aforementioned actors below:

Peter Needs His Best Agents
Diana and Jones were Peter’s most trusted allies at the FBI. They worked under him, which means that they also had a lot of experience dealing with Neal. Both were also involved in Peter’s first run against Bomer’s conman, which landed him in jail initially. Depending on when and how the new White Collar‘s story picks up, Diana and Jones may still be working with Peter in the white-collar division of the FBI’s New York office.
However, if the trio has splintered since the White Collar finale, it shouldn’t be difficult for Eastin to reunite them for the revival. Since they will have to deal with Neal, it’s safe to say that Peter won’t think twice about recruiting his two best agents to deal with whatever snafu they may be facing this time. Regardless of the specifics, the thought of seeing the old band back together is enough to excite anyone who loved the original White Collar.
