A woman in her 30s was arrested over the weekend after €134,000 worth of cocaine was seized at Dublin Airport.
She has since appeared before the courts charged in relation to the incident.
Revenue officials said they made the seizure of 1.9kgs worth of the drug as a result of an “intelligence led operation”.
“The illicit drugs were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had arrived on a flight from Paris,” a Revenue spokesperson said.
“A woman in her 30s was arrested and subsequently charged by An Garda Síochána. She appeared before the courts earlier today.”
Revenue say that investigations are ongoing.
“This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs. If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295,” the statement added.
