Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11 between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will offer an alternate telecast to fans for the first time in history. The game being simulcast on Nickelodeon meant one thing during the opening night of media action on Monday — a Spongebob impression was on deck.
San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy drew the request from two young media members to give his best Spongebob impression. And to Purdy’s credit, he didn’t hesitate and immediately gave it his best shot, ultimately creating a video that took the internet by storm.

As wild as the impression was from Purdy, a large number of NFL fans loved it. Especially the fact that he even attempted to replicate the voice of the popular Nickelodeon cartoon character.
He’s real for that

Of course, there was plenty of trolling as well because there always have to be a few critics.
