Saquarema – Saquarema City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Sport, Leisure and Tourism, will hold the fourth edition of the Saquarema Country Fest next week. The event will take place from Thursday (2) to Sunday (5), starting at 8 pm, at the Marcos Catharino de Souza Junior Exhibition Park (Marcos Santiago), in Sampaio Corrêa. The site is located on the banks of the Amaral Peixoto Highway, next to the Conexão do Futuro Center.
The programation
The biggest Country party in the Lagos Region will bring together big names from country music and pagode, on the main stage that will be set up in the arena. On Thursday (2), the event will be opened by singer and composer João Gomes, who achieved national prominence with his debut album, becoming the most listened to singer in the country in 2021. The songs “Meu Pedaço de Pecado”, “Se For Amor” and “Eu Tem a Senha” were the main hits from the singer’s first album, earning him nominations for relevant awards, such as New Artist of 2021 and Hit of the Year , at the Multishow Awards. The artist is the only Brazilian to be among the 50 most played in the world in the same period on Spotify, also reaching, in the month following the debut of his first album, position 40 among the most played on the Billboard Global 200.
On Friday (3), the show will be hosted by Raí Saia Rodada! One of the biggest names in national forró, the singer has a 21-year career. In 2002, the band Saia Rodada, which goes by its artistic name, conquered the country with the electronic forró “Problema Meu”. With almost 5 million monthly listeners, Raí Saia Rodada continues to rise in the ranking of the most played on Spotify. In 2021, the singer from Rio Grande do Norte recorded 1st place in the TOP 200 with “Tapão na Raba”, ranking second on the list of the week. Two other songs by Raí are also listed in the TOP 200 on the platform: “Amor de Rapariga”, feat with Tony Guerra, and “Som no Talo”. On YouTube, the singer occupies 12th position among the most listened to artists.
On Saturday (4), the singer Dilsinho takes the stage, who is conquering the country with his songs, his charisma and performance. Born and raised on Ilha do Governador, North Zone of Rio, he has been passionate about music since childhood. The singer is considered by critics and the media as the revelation of Pagode Pop Romântico. At just 26 years old, he is recognized for combining the traditional pagode rhythm with a very pop aesthetic and romantic feel. Dilsinho continues to move the music scene through songs that overflow the genre, daring to experiment with new styles in his music. “O Cara Certo”, “Trovão”, “Cansei de Farra”, “Refém” and “Piquenique” are some of his hits.
Closing the party, on Sunday, Mari Fernandez closes the 4th edition of Country Fest with a flourish. One of the main names in Brazilian music today, the singer has had more than 1 billion streams and 31 million listeners in more than 180 countries on the Spotify platform. Her songs had more than 50 million hours of play throughout 2023. With so many successes, Mari Fernandez secured her space in the Top Female Artists around the world on Spotify, standing out in 12th among 20 artists who sing in Spanish or Portuguese from different countries besides Brazil, such as Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, among others. And it’s not just digital that Mari is successful. Her shows are some of the most popular in the country and she has established herself as an artist with large audiences, filling stadiums and the main venues in the segment. “Amor Impossível”, “Dizem que sou Louca”, “No, Não Vou” and “Teu Amigo Cuidou” are some of her most listened to songs.
“After the success of the first three editions, Saquarema Country Fest is definitely already part of our city’s tourist and cultural calendar. I am sure that we will have another incredible edition, which will boost the economy and tourism”, said Mayor Manoela Peres.
In addition to the shows, there will be a children’s playground and a large food court. For safety reasons, coolers and glass bottles will not be permitted at Saquarema Country Fest.
