A shooting left a man seriously injured – El Financiero

The Canadian police cordoned off the Toronto home of the rapper drakewho is embroiled in a bitter dispute with the American musician Kendrick Lamarafter a shooting nearby in which a man was seriously injured.

He shooting occurred around 2:10 a.m. local (6:10 GMT) on Bridle Path, one of the Toronto’s most exclusive neighborhoodswhere Drake, 37, built a 4,650-square-meter mansion.

Toronto police, who have cordoned off an area around the drake mansionreported that it is investigating the shooting although it did not offer details about the injured person or the alleged perpetrators of the shots.

The incident occurs when the confrontation between Drake and Kendrick Lamar It has worsened in recent days.

What happened between Drake and Kendrick Lamar?

Last Saturday, Lamar released the song ‘Not Like Us‘, in which the Californian rapper repeated decade-old accusations that Drake is a pedophile and has a secret daughter which he refuses to recognize.

In the video for ‘Not Like Us’ posted on YouTube, Lamar posted a picture of Drake’s mansion in Toronto illustrated with the commonly used icons to mark the presence of convicted pedophiles.

Shortly after ‘Not Like Us’, Drake released his response with another song, ‘The Heart Part 6‘, in which he denies being a pedophile while referring to Lamar’s girlfriend, Whitney Alford.

Drake and Lamar have been at odds for years, with mutual accusations and insults. Shortly before uploading ‘Not Like Us’, Lamar released ‘Meet the Grahams’in which he mercilessly punished Drake’s family, including his parents as well as his 6-year-old son, Adonis.

In ‘Meet the Grahams’, Lamar also accused Drake being addicted to gambling and employ people convicted of sexual crimes.

Although in the beginning, Drake and Lamar were friends, in 2013 the relationship went sour when the one from Compton referred to Drake and other rappers in a song with Big Sean.

But the rivalry erupted with all virulence when Drake released ‘First Person Shooter’ last year, in which a song by J. Cole put at the same level the quality of Drake and Lamarsomething the latter considered an offense.
