Rio – After resign from TV Globo in August last year, narrator Rembrandt Júnior is back on the station. He signed an agreement with the channel to participate in coverage of the Paris Olympics. The news of the announcer’s return was first reported by “Folha de São Paulo”.
Rembrandt Júnior’s return to Globo is not definitive. The contract is specific so that he will only play at the Paris Olympic Games.
At Globo, Rembrandt became known for being the main voice at club games in the Northeast, where he worked for 23 years. Months before resigning, he was transferred to Rio, where he narrated games on SporTV and Premiere.
Rembrandt Júnior worked at Grupo Globo from 2000 to 2023. Despite having worked most of the time at SporTV and Premiere, the announcer participated in the coverage of six World Cups on open TV, between 2002 and 2022.
