Applied Industrial Technologies, from the USA, completed the purchase of Grupo Kopar, a royal provider of automation technologies and engineering solutions.
It is worth mentioning that the financial terms of the operation were not disclosed.
Kopar operates from 16 locations primarily in Mexico, as well as Costa Rica and Texas and serves customers primarily in the food and beverage, automotive, light manufacturing, electronics and pharmaceutical end markets.
Kopar is expected to generate annual sales of approximately $60 million in the first year for Applied Industrial Technologies.

The executive explained that the 200 employees of the Monterrey-based corporation will join his team.

Applied Industrial Technologies was founded in 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio and is a distributor of technical solutions for industrial motion, fluid power, flow control and automation technologies.
Before the purchase, it had 570 locations, more than 6,200 employees and a catalog of more than 8.8 million SKUs.
