Rio – The cold front, expected to pass through Rio this Thursday (18), left the weather unstable in the city, with a sharp drop in temperature and moderate winds, with occasionally strong gusts. According to the Rio Alert System, it should rain separately during the day, with light to moderate intensity.
On social media, several locals are reporting a power outage since 6am, in the North and West zones, due to the rain and strong winds in some places.
âLook, I live in Campo Grande. It doesnât even need to rain here: just wind, and we run out of power. Not to mention the power outages every minute, which burns out all the electronics.â, wrote a woman.â
âIs there no electricity in RJ? All night long I saw the power go out and heard a crash here in MĂ©ier/Linsâ, asked another.
When contacted, Light reported that âdue to the rain and strong winds, the concessionaire recorded occasional cases of power outages in isolated parts of the cityâ.
According to the concessionaire, teams are on the streets to restore power as quickly as possible.
