At an event with Lula on indigenous people, minister shows slide of the PT member with Prime Minister of Indiareproduction

The federal government made a mistake in the slideshow and showed an image of Lula with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in a ceremony aimed at indigenous peoples. “No, it’s not that, people,” said Indigenous Peoples Minister Sonia Guajajara when she saw the projected figure. She was alongside President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and other ministers, at the Ministry of Justice, at the reopening ceremony of the National Council for Indigenous Policy (CNPI).
The presentation shown by mistake was about the G20, which was held in India in 2023. It was an e-book on the topic with text in the Guarani language that was presented later at another time during the ceremony.
At one point, Lula took the minister’s microphone and began to speak. “This presentation by Sonia is less a presentation for her colleagues on the Council, who have been active in the indigenous struggle for a long time, and it is much more an accounting for people who are not from the Council, especially the press, of what happened in that one year and four months”, said the President of the Republic.
After a few words from the president, one of his assistants could be heard saying: “The presentation has arrived, just a minute.” The president announced into the microphone: “The presentation has arrived and Sonia will do the presentation for you.” He also said that it would be important for the minister to deliver a copy of the presentation to each member of the Council.
There were a few minutes of silence, and the ceremonial team continued with other parts of the ceremony before the presentation could actually be made.
