Representatives from the urgency and emergency sectors, mental health and the Melhor em Casa program were present, which is a service recommended for people who have temporary or permanent difficulties in leaving their home space to reach a health unit, or even for people who are in situations in which home care is the most appropriate for their treatment.
The medical coordinator of Primary Health Care, Igor Pereira de Carvalho, spoke a little more about the objective of the conversation.
“We planned this event thinking about the definition of a family doctor, a patient care coordinator. Here there is an integration of the network’s doctors with other health sectors and the health care network. The idea is for doctors to know what services are offered in the network, what problems they face and what we can do to help. We hold this small discussion with the aim of optimizing and improving the patient process within the network,” he said.
