Construction workers are expected to start working on a bike lane project on 30th Street between Colorado and Arapahoe avenues on Monday.
Workers will build new bike lanes, widen sidewalks, plant new landscaping and improve transit stops, according to a press release. This spot is one of the areas with the highest number of severe crashes in Boulder, according to the release. Boulder tax dollars and funds from the Federal Highway Administration, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the University of Colorado Boulder are paying for the project.
The construction is expected to end next spring.
