Boulder Ballet School’s “The Wizard of Oz”: 2 p.m. Saturday, Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder. Boulder Ballet School presents the beloved story, “The Wizard of Oz.” Told through dance, this hour-long production is perfect for the whole family. There once was a young girl named Dorothy, who lived with her Auntie Em in the rural plains of Kansas. She lived a simple life and spent all of her time with her small dog, Toto. One day, Almira, a nosy neighbor, tries to capture Dorothy’s dog to send it away, claiming Toto is causing too much trouble. During this scuffle, a horrible twister touches down and causes a great disaster. Dorothy and Toto are swept away, and the twister drops them in the mysterious Land of Oz — a vibrant world overflowing with new friends, animals, witches and a peculiar wizard. $20-$35, thedairy.org.

Silversun Pickups at Boulder Theater: 8 p.m. Saturday, Boulder Theater, 2032 14th St., Boulder. Silversun Pickups’ sixth album “Physical Thrills” came together as a serendipitous accident during a dark time. The LA band began 2020 by touring in support of their record released the previous year, “Widow’s Weeds.” But the pandemic halted those plans, with the members, including guitarist and singer Brian Aubert, bassist Nikki Monninger, drummer Christopher Guanlao and keyboardist Joe Lester, finding themselves stuck at home.
