Brazil closed the month of March with a positive balance of 244,315 formal jobs. Year-to-date (January/2024 to March/2024), the balance was positive at 719,033 jobs, which represents an increase of 34% compared to the first three months of last year.

The balance is from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Novo Caged) released this Tuesday (30) by the Ministry of Labor and Employment.

According to the Minister of Labor and Employment, Luiz Marinho, this was Caged’s best result for the month of March since 2020. “In other words, it is an important moment, so I believe that on this May Day we have reasons to focus on the fight of the working class for better conditions,” Marinho told AgĂȘncia Brasil.
