BusinessKids encourages entrepreneurs from childhood – El Financiero

The Mexican children’s entrepreneurship development firm, BusinessKids, stood out at the London Franchise Fair, where it was presented with the intention of expanding its business model from the 27 countries where it already has a presence.

Since its inception in 2009, BusinessKids adopted a game-based methodology to teach children and young people the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Mary Carmen Cabrera, founder and director, identified the need to cultivate entrepreneurial skills from an early age. Her vision transcends the mere creation of companies, seeking to train adults with values, knowledge and social responsibility to face the challenges of the future.

In 2023, the company celebrated its tenth anniversary as a franchise, expanding to the main cities of America, Asia, Africa and Europe, with more than 120 locations internationally. In addition to its focus on franchising, BusinessKids continues to promote initiatives such as Reality BusinessKids, the magazine of the same name, and the BusinessKids Congress, which brings together young entrepreneurs from around the world. BusinessKids’ commitment to the development of children’s entrepreneurship continues to be a fundamental pillar in the training of future generations.

SAP drives digital transformation

The firm specialized in software and business applications, SAP, under the direction of Rui Botelho in Mexico, revealed that the retail, health and banking sectors lead the adoption of digital solutions in the country, taking strategic and solid steps to accelerate and streamline their processes, opening the door to the incorporation of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Prominent clients of the German transnational in Mexico, such as Petco, Banorte, Farmacias San Pablo and the medicine distributor Nadro, are leading this transformation. SAP reported triple-digit sales growth of cloud-based solutions in the first quarter of fiscal 2024 to companies in these sectors, indicating the relevance and priority that organizations are giving to cloud computing to boost their capabilities and prosper.

These results add to the double-digit growth in revenue from sales of cloud solutions compared to the same period of the previous year in Mexico. Globally, SAP reported 25 percent growth in cloud revenue in constant currency, reflecting the continued momentum of digital transformation globally.

DFC invests 4 million dollars for the restoration of ecosystems

The United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) approved an investment of up to $4 million in Regenera Ventures I, a private fund aimed at supporting companies committed to regenerative management that promotes biodiversity and contributes to the restoration of terrestrial, marine and coastal ecosystems in Mexico.

This fund aims to demonstrate that nature-based investments can generate significant impact and stable financial performance. Regenera Ventures I has been developed within the framework of the Entrepreneurship in Sustainable Landscapes project, financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Conservation International Mexico and a consortium of partners. This project seeks to establish sustainable, inclusive and scalable value chains, ready for the market and investors, in three key landscapes: Chiapas, Oaxaca and the Yucatan Peninsula.

Panduit will bring together 700 experts at the GSIC 2024 Congress

Panduit, a firm specialized in electrical infrastructure and telecommunications networks in Mexico and Latin America under the direction of Carlos Arochiwill celebrate on May 25 a quarter of a century of the GSIC congress, the event that brings together more than 700 technology experts, will take place from May 22 to 24 at the Xcaret Arte hotel in Cancún, Quintana Roo.

During the congress, success stories in digital transformation will be presented, including cases from OXXO, Grupo SolMary IPN/UGA-CINVESTAV. In addition, panels on data centers and sustainability will be held, with the participation of IT industry leaders such as Absa, Dahua Technology and Motorola Solutions.

Panduit achieved a 12 percent increase in Mexico in 2023 and anticipates 13 percent growth in 2024. The company has invested in its plants in Mexico and Costa Rica, tripling its production capacity in the last two years, consolidating itself as an ally key in the digital transformation in the region.
